I have a 5 year old golden doodle and thought it was impossible to correct his bad habits considering his age. Within only 2 sessions, Mike has completely broken his leash pulling issue. While we are still in the middle of our sessions, My dog has already significantly improved with his behavioral issues. The initial interaction between handler, owner and K9 is scheduled prior to any other sessions. We thoroughly look into the temperament, behavioral traits, conduct various stress tests followed by a discussion with the owner on concerns and future goals for their “Fellow K9.” A plan of action is developed and suitable training sessions are discussed and scheduled thereafter.
Initial Evaluation
We conduct an in depth analysis of various behavioral traits with your “Fellow K9” and create a plan of action to correct and implement new behavior. We employ a wide range of methods including but not limited to: positive/negative reinforcement, desensitization, counterconditioning, response substitution, habituation, extinction and shaping.
Behavioral Correction Training
One key fundamental aspect to a well-balanced K9 is obedience training. We help solidify and also improve on older obedience training you originally utilized. We offer a wide scope of training ranging from your basic commands (sit, down, stay, come, leave it, speak, etc…), to more intricate and task oriented training including Schutzhund and Service Dog training.
Obedience Training
Bark on command, search areas, scent detection, bite work, night/day protection, home protection, response to guns/blunt objects, and so much more. The sky is the limit when tailored with your imagination and our experience. With where the world is going, your best bet is to invest into this type of training.
Protection Training
Level up from novice leash walking, which we are all conditioned to accepting as the only means of enjoying your “Fellow K9” and master this level now. This training opens up new areas you previously couldn’t venture into and ultimately elevates your experience as a whole. Off Leash Training
An electric collar if improperly understood and used can create a psychotic and irrational K9. We pride ourselves in educating the owner and showing proper and humane ways of training with Electric Collars. The ultimate goal is to command your “Fellow K9” simply with your voice and their respect. An Electric Collar is ideal in expediting you progress to reach that level.
Electric Collar Tailored Training
We offer this service to get your “Fellow K9” properly trained for a specific task/s, certified and provide a card for public access as well as printed certification. Reach out to inquire on details.
Service Dog Training & Registration
We offer two types of Board & Train programs. The first one is conducted in your private residence. We come to your residence and help train and take care of your “Fellow K9.” The second type is conducted in our facility. More details on this program are on the Training Sessions menu.
